Well I will get right into it... We will be baptizing 2 daughter sof God this week Named Natalie and Meleny.  They are super pilas and love to learn about the gospel.  We have been teaching them for about 2 weeks and have recieved their answeres that this is the true church of God.  Last night we had a really good lesson with one family.  We planned just to start the lessons with one person in this family until everyone started arguing and fighting and a few started to cry.  So we had to change our plans on the spot and talk about the fanily and the importance of the family.  It was a super sppiritual lesson.  Everyone in the room felt so calm and the spirit of contention left the room.  We talked about the ipmortance of familys and taht we have the opportunity to live with them forever.  Satan has one purpose that is to destroy the family.  Im so blessed to have this gospel in my life and to be a missionary and a representative of the true Chruch of God.  I know that we all have the

One thing that I have talked a lot about with members and leaders is that the Young men and women are the future to this church but a lot are going in different directions and arent following good examples in their lives and arent following the path of God.   Its becuase they dont have their own testimony of the church, they think they do but the monent they are faced with adveristy they dont now what to say, how they can defend themeselves.  I read this week in the bible about the story of Moses and how he went to the mountain and saw God.  He saw God through eyes of an inmortal, someone that doesnt live on this earth.  After he saw God God left him and felt super tired, felt that he didnt have any energy to stand.  At this moment Satan came to him and tried to tempt a servent of the Lord, Satan told him that he isnt a child of God, he tried to destroy the testimony of Moses.  Moses with all of the energy of his body ssaid to Satan, "I am a Child of God."  This si literal

his last week we have been really focusing on the progression of our investigators that are planning to be baptized for this next month.  We had some really spiritual lessons, lessons that helped us feel the truthfulness of the Gospel once again.  We one lesson we had was with one little girl named Melany.  The very first question we asked her was if she remembered what we taught her the lesson before about the restoration of the gospel and she told us no, and didnt remember a thing we taught her.  So we decided to show her the video of the restoration.  During the video I could feel the confirmation of the spirit testifing to my companion, Melany and I that Jospeh Smith was a true prophet of God.  That he restored the church of God on the earth again under the direction and power of God.  Something that I learned this week is that what people want to hear is the truth, what people want to feel is the Love of our Savior Jesus Christ.  They want to feel Loved here on earth.  God didnt

But this last Friday we had the baptism of Mary Schuite.  It was such a beutiful baptismal service.  We had 24 people attend her baptism and usually only have 8 so Mary could feel the friendship and the help of the ward.  It was really special, but the next day we passed by here house to tell her that she needs to be at church early on Sunday to be confirmed a member of the church and recieve the Spirit.  She told us with out even answering our question that being baptized in the church was the best decision she has ever made in her life.  She truly feels happy about the choice she made and will be such a working force and a light to the work here on earth in these last days.  Well we have changes this next week and my comp is probably leaving and President told me in my interview that i will probably recieve a junior companion so we will see what happens.  I dont think ill train yet because ionly 4 elders are coming into the mission this next change.  But we will see what the Lord

I actually had some experiences like that in my first area and in this area as well.  In my old area, when I was with Elder Juarez, my first companion, we were teaching this man named Danny.  He had the same problems he loved to drink, smoke, and at one point was a leader of a gang, he had a lot of problems.  He also has a mother that is a member and she is 84 years old.  Danny would take care of her and was also working at the same time but after work is usually when he would drink and smoke.  He would come home drunk and intoxicated and would beat his 84 year old mother.  We taught all of the lesson whern I was with Elder Jaurez but he had changes and left for the capitol.  Elder Ramos then came to Guajitos and were companions only for 1 change but we still continued to visit Danny.  Everytime we were planning for the week I made sure that we visited Danny atleast 3 times a week, at this time I was teaching Elder Ramos the area and helping him get to know our investigators, every

YEAH MAN !!!!!! I heard that over 100 people have died from this eruption and over a thousand have been affected by the eruption.  But its super cool because the communities are gathering needs for the people that were affected by the volcano.  Its super cool to see how the people work together to help others in need even in the midst of their own problems taht they have in their lives,  these people dont have a lot to give but its the LOVE that they have to help others, them knowing that they dont have much.  This has just been a huge reminder of our job as missionaries to give all of our love to these people even though we leave our families and so many things back at home the most important thing we can give is our love to others, that is what this world needs a lot more of.  But yeah its crazy in that part of Guatemala.  So many people this week have a funerals in the streets of people that have died in this accident.  One family that lives just down the road all died in this accid

Dear Parents and Priesthood Leaders, of missionaries serving in the Guatemala City South Mission, Earlier today, the Volcano "Fuego" erupted, and ash and grit have affected some parts of our mission.  This particular volcano is located some 40 Kilometers from the city, where our closest missionaries are located.  We have not been affected, but we are taking precautions as some parts of the mission have experienced some falling ash, and have directed that any affected missionaries remain in doors, along with other precautions that are listed below in Spanish.  We will keep you informed of any developments.
